Continuous tracking or a morning reading?
Two approaches. Different kinds of attention.
01 / 05
Tracking throughout the day
Continuous wearables may collect activity, heart rate, sleep and other signals across many situations. That broader picture can be useful.
02 / 05
A deliberate reading
A short measurement while settled and resting focuses on a more consistent moment. It asks for your attention briefly rather than throughout the day.
03 / 05
Neither is automatically better
Continuous information provides coverage; a standardised reading can offer consistency. Device quality, measurement method and intended use all matter.
04 / 05
Movement changes the signal
HRV measured while walking, exercising or changing posture may differ from a quiet resting measurement. Compare like with like.

Choose what serves you
Some people value ongoing tracking. Others prefer a short ritual and then to put the device away. The right approach depends on your goals.
